Dunraven Bay

Dunraven is best when the tide is not fully in as you can then access both the sandy beach with its boulders and rocks and look back onto the cliffs. It’s a popular spot so during the daytime the car park gets pretty busy with both holidaymakers and surfers.
To get there from Bridgend, either follow the signs for Ogmore-by-sea or St Brides Major (B4265) and turn right (if approaching from Ogmore) or left (if approaching from St Brides) opposite the Three Golden Cups pub. It’s signposted to Beach / Traeth. Being on the Bristol Channel, keep an eye on the tide if you’re out on the rocks as it comes in quickly. Warm evening sunlight, helps to bring out the textures and colours in the cliffs, so this is the best time to visit Dunraven.
